Israel prize winning activist and writer David Shulman will share recent experiences from his work in the West Bank with Ta’ayush; Jewish Arab Partnership for Peace. During the war the situation in the South Hebron Hills and the Jordan Valley has been especially dire, with armed extremist settlers exerting pressure on many Palestinian villages to abandon their homes. While several villages have been abandoned due to settler violence, devoted activists have been working day and night to protect peaceful villages and keep the flame of co-existence alive, and prevent the West Bank from spiraling into a new front in the war. David will speak to the state of Israeli-Palestinian partnership from the early 2000’s through today, including during this war.
