“Begin Again.

The oldest Kabbalistic book, the Book of Creation, attributed to our first ancestor, Abraham, offers some simple advice: ”If your mind is racing, return to where you are.” In these times of racing minds and troubled hearts, our task is to return: to our place, to our teachings, to our purpose. Rosh Hashanah reminds us that whatever death and difficulty may have surfaced this past year, we are perpetually invited to begin again. Who do we want to be? Where do we want to go? How will we act? Teshuvah, return, is an opportunity to begin anew.

This year we celebrate 25 years of The New Shul. Join us as we return to the ever-evolving quest to understand what it means to be a Jew, right here, right now. The old melodies are calling us back. Let’s make it a call and response. ”
