TNS Chesed Committee

The TNS Chesed Committee is set to help community members in need of support.

Chesed, often translated as loving-kindness encompasses most of the teachings of Judaism. It is a central aspect of God, which we try to emulate in our empathy toward others. It harkens back into who we are as a nation and who we are as individuals. It involves a recognition of the infinite love and kindness we have received our whole lives. And when we we pass on that love and kindness by turning it into action, called Gemilut Chasadim, it becomes one of three pillars upon which the world stands. It is deeply political, while entirely transcending politics. This has been the core of Jewishness for generations.
